Why Learn with Loomgrid

Each part of the learning experience is shaped around what actually helps people progress — not around what sounds appealing in marketing copy.

Structured from the ground up

Courses follow a clear sequence — concepts first, then practice. Nothing is assumed that hasn't been taught.

Mentor feedback at each stage

You submit work and receive written feedback from an instructor — not automated scoring, but considered observations on your code.

Portfolio-ready output

Each course produces something tangible — a project you built, documented and can show to others as evidence of what you studied.

Learn alongside other commitments

All content is recorded and available on your schedule. You set the pace within the course window — no fixed session times to juggle.

A working community of peers

Each cohort has a shared space for questions and discussion. Talking through a problem with someone else at the same stage is often more useful than re-reading notes.

Transparent pricing, no hidden costs

The course fee covers everything listed — lessons, notes, mentor feedback, community access and the portfolio project. No add-ons required to get the full experience.

Common Questions

Answers to the things people ask most often before enrolling.

Do I need any prior coding experience to join the Starter Course?

No prior experience is required for the Coding & AI Starter Course. It begins with the very basics of Python and builds from there. If you can use a web browser and follow written instructions, you have what it takes to start.

How much time should I set aside each week?

Most learners find that five to eight hours per week is enough to follow lessons, complete exercises and submit work for feedback. Some weeks may be lighter, others slightly heavier depending on the topic — we'll let you know in the course materials.

Are the lessons live or recorded?

All lessons are pre-recorded, so you can watch them when it suits your schedule. There are no mandatory live sessions. Mentor feedback and community discussion happen asynchronously throughout the course window.

What tools or software will I need?

All courses use free, open-source tools — Python, Jupyter, and relevant open-source libraries depending on the programme. Setup instructions are provided before the course starts. You don't need to purchase any software.

Is there a refund policy?

We ask that you review the course description carefully before enrolling. Refund terms are set out in our Terms & Conditions. If you have questions about a specific situation, please contact us before enrolling and we'll be straightforward with you.

How is learner data and privacy handled?

We collect only the information needed to run your course — name, contact details and course progress. We don't sell personal data to third parties. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Can I move from the Starter Course to Machine Learning In Practice?

Yes. The courses are designed as a progression. Completing the Starter Course gives you the Python foundations expected for Machine Learning In Practice. We recommend finishing one before starting the next, though we review each case individually.
