Loomgrid team and mission

Thoughtful education for people who want to understand what they're building.

Loomgrid is an online school for Python and AI development, based in Bangkok and open to learners anywhere.

Our Story

Loomgrid grew out of a simple observation: the tools for building AI applications were becoming more accessible, but the path from "I want to learn this" to "I can actually do this" was still quite unclear for most people. Courses online tended to be either too shallow or too academic — long on theory, short on the kind of hands-on practice that makes knowledge stick.

We started with a small group of learners in Bangkok in 2022, running a structured eight-week Python and AI basics programme. The feedback was direct: learners appreciated the pacing, the written notes and the fact that a mentor actually looked at their code. Word travelled, and by 2023 the school had expanded to its current three-course sequence.

The name Loomgrid reflects the way we think about learning — like threads in a woven grid, each concept connects to others in a deliberate pattern. Skip too many and the fabric doesn't hold. Learn in order, with practice at each stage, and what you build stays with you.

Our Mission

We want to make structured, mentor-supported AI and software development education available to anyone with a browser and the patience to work through it — regardless of background or prior experience.

Honest representation

We describe what each course covers and what learners will be able to do afterwards — not vague outcomes, not inflated claims.

Sequence over speed

Courses are ordered. Each one builds on the last. We'd rather a learner take longer and understand something properly than rush through material and reach a wall later.

Real feedback, not automation

Assignments are reviewed by instructors. The comments you receive come from someone who has read your specific code — not a grading script.

The Team

A small group of instructors, curriculum designers and support staff who keep the courses running and the feedback coming.

NT

Natchaya Thirawat

Lead Instructor, AI & ML

Designed the Machine Learning In Practice and Advanced AI Development programmes. Seven years working on data pipelines and model evaluation in industry before joining Loomgrid.

PS

Prakorn Suthisak

Python Instructor & Mentor

Leads the Coding & AI Starter Course and handles first-stage code reviews. Joined Loomgrid after five years writing educational software documentation for developer tools.

AW

Arisa Wongprasert

Curriculum & Learner Support

Manages course structure, learner enquiries and the community platform. Ensures that materials are clear and that feedback is delivered on schedule across all three programmes.

How We Maintain Quality

Standards that shape how we build and deliver courses — and how we protect learner data and experience.

Curriculum review cycle

Course materials are reviewed and updated every six months to reflect changes in tools, libraries and best practices in the AI field.

Verified instructor experience

Instructors bring active, recent experience from software and AI roles. We don't recruit teachers who haven't worked in the field they're teaching.

Learner data protection

Personal data is collected only for running the course. We don't sell or share learner information with third parties outside of what's described in our Privacy Policy.

Feedback turnaround commitment

Assignment submissions receive written feedback within five business days. Delays are communicated proactively — learners are not left waiting without explanation.

Transparent course descriptions

Every course page lists what will be covered, what tools are used, the expected time commitment and what the completion record covers. No vague promises.

Safe learning environment

Community spaces follow clear conduct guidelines. Inappropriate behaviour is moderated promptly. Every learner should feel comfortable asking basic questions.

Online AI and software development education, built for working learners

The demand for people who can work with Python, understand machine-learning pipelines and deploy AI-driven applications has grown steadily across Thailand and across the region. What hasn't kept pace is the availability of structured, accessible education that takes learners from a standing start to practical competence — without demanding a full-time schedule or a university admission.

Loomgrid addresses this gap with three online courses: an eight-week introduction for complete beginners, a twelve-week intermediate track focused on model-building with open-source libraries, and a sixteen-week advanced programme covering deployment and real-world AI integration. Each course is self-paced within its window, recorded for asynchronous viewing, and backed by written mentor feedback on submitted work.

Our approach keeps the learning grounded in practice. Learners write code, receive notes on that specific code, correct it and move forward with a clearer model of how things work. The portfolio projects that come out of each course are evidence of that process — something concrete to point to, rather than a line on a form claiming familiarity with a topic.

Loomgrid operates from Bangkok and serves learners across Southeast Asia and beyond. All courses are conducted in English. Enquiries are welcome through the contact form on our homepage or by phone during office hours.
